Driver requirements
DRIVER REQUIREMENTS Minimum age For this demonstration site, the primary driver must be at least 25 years old when picking up the vehicle. Age may vary by category, coverage, or insurer conditions in a real operation; always confirm the requirement shown on your reservation before purchasing your flight. Valid license Provide a current, readable driver’s license valid for the vehicle category. It must be issued to the driver who will sign the agreement. Expired, unreadable, altered, or category-incompatible licenses are not accepted. The lessor may keep a copy or record license details as allowed by the applicable policy. License history The reference policy for this demo requires the license to have been held for at least one year. If your license was recently renewed, bring the previous license, an issuing-authority certificate, or another record that can establish the original issue date when needed. The merchant may require a different history for certain categories. Foreign or international license We accept current foreign licenses that are readable and authorize driving in the country of issue. If your license is not in Spanish or English, we recommend carrying a valid translation or an international driving permit. An international permit must always be shown with the original license; it does not authorize vehicle delivery by itself. Identity document Visitors must present a valid passport or another identity document accepted by the merchant. Residents may present the identification confirmed as valid by the merchant. The name on the document must match the license, reservation, and card presented for the guarantee. If names differ, resolve the issue before arriving at the airport. Card in the driver’s name The primary driver must present a merchant-accepted credit or debit card issued in that driver’s name for the applicable guarantee or deposit. This demo uses pay-on-delivery for the rental, but the card is still needed for the applicable guarantee. Do not send full card details through WhatsApp, and ask the merchant whether your bank will place a temporary hold. Additional drivers Anyone who will drive must be registered before driving, meet the same requirements, and show their own license and identity document. Each additional driver is identified in the reservation and appears in the agreement; the merchant can configure a per-rental or per-day fee. An unregistered driver may invalidate coverage or create additional liability; do not lend the vehicle to someone else even if they are traveling with you. For pickup Bring original documents, your reservation code, and flight confirmation if you are collecting at SDQ, and allow enough time to review the agreement and vehicle condition. If a document is missing or the driver does not meet the policy, delivery may be delayed or refused. The final signed agreement controls over this reference text.
